SlingPlayer Mobile for Windows Mobile 6 Released

Sling Media today released an update to their Windows Mobile SlingPlayer, including support for the recently released Windows Mobile 6. If you have a Slingbox and a WinMob6 device, you want this. Even if you have an older WinMob device, you may want this for the improvements and additions.

Check out the product page, or go straight to the download pages. Upgrades for existing users are free, but you will need to request a new registration key from Sling Media support. Otherwise it is available in the US for USD$29.99, Canada for CAD$34.99, and the UK for GBP£19.99. A localized Japanese version will be available in the coming weeks. All versions of SlingPlayer Mobile include a 30-day trial for new users.

New version of SlingPlayer Mobile supports all versions of Windows Mobile 6 allowing customers to watch and control their home TV via a Windows Mobile handheld computer or mobile phone

Foster City, CA — June 21, 2007 — Sling Media, a digital lifestyle products company, today announced that its award-winning SlingPlayer™ Mobile software client is now compatible with Microsoft’s new Windows Mobile 6 operating system. Customers who have already purchased SlingPlayer Mobile and are upgrading to Windows Mobile 6 need to request a new registration key from Sling Media after upgrading from Windows Mobile 5 to Windows Mobile 6.
