FOX will televised Super Bowl XXXIX to a potential worldwide audience of 1 billion viewers. Make it game day your way with the amazing TiVo service and follow these tips: - If you dare leave the house during game time, don’t forget to pad
your recording by at least an hour or two using Recording Options (MUCH more if you also plan to watch the show that follows the Super Bowl)! - Start recording the game on time, but turn the TV off until everyone
arrives. Press the TiVo button BEFORE you turn the TV back on so that TiVo Central is on-screen, protecting everyone from potential spoilers. Then, from Now Playing, press PLAY to watch the game from the beginning. - Remember, the eight-second instant replay button on your TiVo remote
is about the length of the average NFL play. Or, hit the instant replay button four times in a row to replay your favorite 30-second spots

| | valign="top" bgcolor="#ffffff"> You Ask, We Answer Q: My other-half and I loved the TiVo box that we got for Christmas last year so much there was a second waiting under the tree this year. Our plan is for each of us to have our own TiVo box, since we have very different TV tastes. We heard you can control two different boxes with one remote control, but haven’t figured out how to do it without simultaneously controlling both. Can you help? A: Ah yes, in fact, many people grew their TiVo families over the holidays, so we thought this was a great question to start out the New Year with. All Series2™ remotes made in the last few years have something called a "DVR switch" right above the number key pads at the bottom of the remote. Once you program that switch, you’ll be able to control your original TiVo box and the new TiVo box just by flipping the switch on the remote. We have step by step instructions on our support site that will walk you through the process. Just make sure to follow the directions carefully since it is a little tricky to get everything set up. Once you follow those instructions, you can control each TiVo box by sliding the DVR switch between "1" and "2." You’ll also need to adjust the input settings on your TV to actually see the screens from the different TiVo boxes. Note: Having two TiVo boxes in the same room is only feasible if you receive your program source from an antenna, cable without a box, or a satellite or cable box controlled by a serial control cable (or if you have two different program feeds coming into the same room, like me!). If you are using IR control to change channels on a cable or satellite box, you will not be able easily have two TiVo boxes in one room because the signals sent out to change channels would change both cable or satellite boxes at the same time. We have step-by-step instructions on our support site (as well as in the Messages & Setup chapter of your printed manual) that will walk you through the process Remember, you can get help with most of your technical questions by visiting our support website.
