I was skipping through the ads on a episode of Ground Force when I saw the TiVo logo, so I backed up. It was an ad for TiVo. The unit they showed at the end looked different from any I’ve seen – maybe the original AT&T model? It has front panel buttons, the IR ‘eye’ is down near the botton, and it and the remote are silver… Actually, the remote looks like a 1st generation peanut, it doesn’t have tne newer buttons or the 1-2 switch. Is that a Thompson?
Anyway, apparently they’re doing a giveaway, at the end it says “Watch ‘The Office’ and win TiVo with lifetime service at www.bbcamerica.com“. ‘The Office’ being a show aired on BBC America, of course.
TiVo held a second chat, and the log is up here: http://www.krellis.org/tivo-chat-4-4-03.txt
Seems like a fairly dead community, anyone else interested in the new stuff?
