Log of second TiVo chat on HMO and 4.0

Seems like a fairly dead community, anyone else interested in the new stuff?

    I am always interested in the new stuff but the direction they are taking just isn’t one I plan on following. The only way the home network would be important for me is if it allowed two Tivos to work together to manage season passes and handle conflicts. My 2 Tivos are in the same room as my computer and I have more cd’s currently than MP3’s and I don’t have any need to display pictures on TV.

    TiVoPony has strongly hinted in TiVo Community and in the live chats that cooperative scheduling will be coming – just not in 4.0. He mentioned that TiVo has a patent relating to it at one point.

    So I think we’ll see that in a future revision of HMO, I’m hoping that’s the kind of thing that makes it into 4.2.
