Researchers at electronics giant TDK have developed a tough new coating that promises to make scratched DVDs a thing of the past and that will help usher in an emerging data storage format with 10 times the capacity of the current DVD standard.

TiVo Is No Longer Skipping Past Advertisers

The name that redefined how viewers watch television aims to reinvent commercials.

You know, I don’t think this is a big deal. Actually, I think this is good – so pop-ups while FFW, big deal. 1. I use 30 second skip. 2. People who FFW can still do it.

I think the ‘couch commerce’ thing is great – I’ve been suggesting that to TiVo (as an RFE) for years.

Rumor: Big, bad news in tomorrows LA Times

Spotted in PVRBlog: I talked to a LA Times reporter yesterday about some upcoming TiVo features (nope, not TiVo To Go), and all I can say is your jaw will likely drop when you hear about it, but not in a good way. I won’t say anything more, but look into tomorrow’s LA Times for the full skinny. Heads will roll.

Anyone out west who gets early delivery overnight? Nothing on the website yet – but I know it is only 18:18 out there. :-)
