Will from TVHarmony.com emailed me Thursday to let me know that they released and update to their software. Unfortunately I took a little road trip from MA to NJ to see James Burke give a keynote, and I was off-net until tonight, or I’d've shared this sooner.

Will writes:It includes support for Apple’s new video iPod, Palm devices, and AVI conversion (including XVID and h264 compression). In addition, it has the ComSkip open source commercial removal which in my testing, works pretty well.

The software includes TVHarmony AutoPilot and Tivo2PSP, Tivo2iPod, Tivo2Palm, Tivo2AVI, and Tivo2MPEG

They have a nice group of utilities that make TiVoToGo even more useful and powerful.

umdjosh had some issues using Dave Zatz’s instructions for DVD to TiVo and wrote his own guide for converting DVDs to play on TiVo.

TiVo has a TiVo Fan page, which includes a link to a new official TiVo Blog.

I’ve syndicated it as tivocorpblog – since tivoblog is the syndication for TiVoBlog.com – a fan blog (worth checking out).

They also have a TiVo Ambassador Toolkit to help market TiVo to your friends.

The animated series The Boondocks (based on the comic strip by the same name) is finally premiering on Adult Swim on Sunday 11/6.

So why an alert?

Do NOT set your SP to ‘First Run Only’ – it is premiering on 11/6, but the first episode stills shows an original air date of 10/2, the original planned premier. That’s outside the two week range TiVo still considers ‘first run’, so it won’t schedule it to record. I found this when I setup my SP and noticed it didn’t put it in my To Do list. I don’t want folks getting burned by this.
