TiVo has released an update for TiVo Desktop which fixes a crash bug in 2.3.

‘Sopranos’ elbowing its way onto HD DVD

“The Sopranos” is poised to become the first TV series to be released on high-definition video discs.
HBO Video said Wednesday that its first release on the nascent HD DVD format will be “The Sopranos: Season 6, Part 1,” arriving in stores Nov. 7, the same day as the standard DVD.
The high-definition edition will cost $129, or $30 more than the standard DVD version.
HBO said a Blu-ray disc version is on tap for next year.

TiVo Appoints Steve Sordello to the Position of Chief Financial Officer

TiVo Inc. (Nasdaq: TIVO), the creator of and leader in television services for digital video recorders (DVR), today announced that it is appointing Steve Sordello to the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer effective August 21, 2006. Sordello was most recently Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Ask Jeeves, Inc.
