Gear Live TiVo Series3 video interview

Gear Live did a video interview with TiVoPony demonstrating the Series3 in the TiVo suite at CES. They cover the same info I posted the other day, but it gives you a nice view of the UI features and some of the changes for dual-tuner and HD support. They also show the TiVo 11g adapter. The video is about 12 minutes long and worth checking out.

Thanks for the mention TiVoPony. :-)

And thanks to PVRWire for the heads up.

BusinessWeek Online: Changing Channels

With TiVo’s base of lovesick customers — who say they refuse to live without the service — why can’t it turn a profit?

The article isn’t as negative as that may make it sound. I think it is fair coverage of the advantages and challenges facing TiVo.

A DVD combo? Don’t hold your breath

For consumers, a device that could play both HD DVDs and Blu-ray discs would take a lot of risk out of adopting the new video players–but one may not arrive for a while.
