TiVo’s advertising hits new heights
TiVo Blog linked to a post in Troy On TiVo about some new advertising TiVo is doing. Apparently they have ads on the seat-back tray tables on USAirways. The ad is focused on TiVoToGo – which makes sense. “Hey, if you had TiVo and TTG, you could be watching your content right now” is what it comes down to.
It looks like the offer, which linked to tivo.com/usairways, expired on September 15. But the page is still there – an 80-hour S2DT with a free TiVo WiFi adapter and one year of service for $254.00.

Japan says no to Blu-ray, HD DVD recorders for U.S.
That’s kind of a bummer. Looks like we won’t get standalone recorders for a while longer. Though I liked this:“In the U.S.A., you record on TiVo,” he added. ![]()

Hitachi concocting Blu-ray camcorder
This would be nice, Hi-Def camcorders are catching on. And good for Blu-ray – it builds the ecosystem.
