When we think of the environmental impact of airliners we tend to think of efficiency in flight – increasing engine efficiency, decreasing drag, making the airframe lighter, etc. But there are a lot of other ways they can have an impact – from the chemicals in the paint to the water used in the galleys and lavatories.
