It is hard to believe, but the Harpoon anti-ship missile is forty years old. It has certainly evolved quite a bit, and is available in surface, air, submarine, and land launched versions. It also formed the basis of the SLAM, or Standoff Land Attack Missile. It is one of the most widely deployed anti-ship missiles, in service with militaries around the globe.
