Two Big Gizmos Finally Ship

While I normally cover the kind of gizmos that fit in your hand, or at least in your home, sometimes I like to go a bit bigger. This is a big month for Boeing, the B787 Dreamliner and the B747-8 Freighter have both completed their certification testing and can now start deliveries to customers. The B787 is Boeing’s latest all-new widebody airliner, and the program is running over three years behind, so this is a big milestone. The B747-8 is the latest version of the venerable B747, and it is a major update with an all-new wing and engines, a fuselage stretch, new cockpit, etc. Personally I can’t wait for a chance to fly on the Dreamliner.
