As I mentioned on twitter and thinking more about it now, I think the Preview just isn’t ready. The Elite is easier since you are changing two tuner chips and the Virgin Media box already supports 3 tuners. The Preview is a different beast entirely and also fully dependent on a working streaming model. It will be interesting to see if companies like RCN roll out the Q before the Preview or if they will wait for the Preview.

I’m confused on the silence on the Preview box for retail. Its obviously something they need for the high-end “Elite” customer. I would like to see an analyst question them on it during their quarterly conference call on August 24th. I wish I had the email address or twitter address of one of their analysts so “consumers” could have a way to input this type of information.
