It does seem quick and they promise more insulation - better for memory management and security. But like most Google stuff, the color scheme sucks. Firefox is mature and reliable - I've been using it as my primary browser since pre-1.0 days. Opera coulda been a contender, but they insisted on charging... and probably charging too much.

I gave it a spin – but not sure what compelling reason I have to switch. You realize that's not at all true, right? And the way it sandboxes processes for each tab is not the way IE7 handles it, even if they do both happen to open instances. And the connection settings aren't 'IE', they're Windows. Google Chrome uses the OS's connection settings. On Windows so does IE. But the connection settings on Windows are not part of IE, though that's the most common way most users experience them.

Yeah… You realize that’s not at all true, right?

And the way it sandboxes processes for each tab is not the way IE7 handles it, even if they do both happen to open instances. Each time you open a tab, it is slow like IE7 and it launches a new chrome.exe in the background. Just like ie7 does. Even the connection settings are 100% IE...All google did was make a skin for IE7 lol

Co-worker and I tried this thing. It is actually a IE skin.
