TiVoCast Adds Diggnation, The Totally Rad Show, And Wine Library Reserve

It looks like Internet Superstar and Tekzilla were just the vanguard of the new Revision3 invasion. TiVo has just added three more Revision3 shows to TiVoCast:

Diggnation:

Diggnation is a weekly tech/web culture show based on the top digg.com social bookmarking news stories.

Subscribe online or on your TiVo via Find Programs & Downloads -> Download TV, Movies, & Web Video -> Browse Other Videos -> All -> Diggnation

The Totally Rad Show:

The Totally Rad Show is the summer blockbuster of geek news shows. Every week, hosts Alex Albrecht, Dan Trachtenberg, and Jeff Cannata rip into the world of movies, video games, tv, comics, and more and pull out what’s rad.

Subscribe online or on your TiVo via Find Programs & Downloads -> Download TV, Movies, & Web Video -> Browse Other Videos -> All -> The Totally Rad Show

Wine Library Reserve:

Gary Vaynerchuk, not your typical wine expert, describes what he tastes on the Internet’s most passionate wine program. Wine Library Reserve delivers the info on the wines of Wine Library TV in 5 minutes or less!

Subscribe online or on your TiVo via Find Programs & Downloads -> Download TV, Movies, & Web Video -> Browse Other Videos -> All -> Wine Library Reserve

Wine isn’t my thing, at all really, but I’ll be jumping on the first two. I hope they add the rest of the Revision3 lineup soon. Especially as I noticed The GigaOm Show was dropped from TiVo Web Video, where I’d been subscribed to it. (Fortunately it is on hiatus currently anyway.) Let’s get some popSiren in TiVoCast soon!

I’m guessing these are the SD versions of the shows, right? If so, I’ll probably stick with downloading them to iTunes and using TiVo Desktop to server them up to my TV.

Oh great point Justin…I didnt even think about it but I guess its because im used to watching diggnation in HD already. I will prob cancel the season pass i just added and stick with TiVo Desktop too, in order to get the HD file

They are the SD versions, through the encodes look really good. I mentioned that in my post on Internet Superstar and Tekzilla. Now that the S3 and HD can decode MPEG-4/H.264 I do think that they should make the HD versions available for those boxes, they’d look fantastic.

But, as I said then, as much as I like the HD versions of Revision3 content, which I’d been using via TiVo Web Video, I’ll take the convenience of TiVoCast and accept the SD for now. It downloads so much faster and doesn’t tie up my PC with transcoding and transferring.

I totally thought that said “Dingonation”.

(We don’t ask ourselves, “Who will get this?”)
