Lycos was my first searching engine - the first one I made major use of, the first one I switched to from services like WAIS, Archie, and Veronica. Back when it was being run from a college and their mascot was a wolf spider (hence, Lycos). I kept Lycos as my main search engine up until Google launched. Though sometimes I had to dabble with others, like AltaVista, since Lycos started doing a poorer job over time.Since Google came out I pretty much haven use any others.
