		<description>There really should not be a downside for TiVo if they handle it at all decently.

Not only should it interoperate PC-TiVo but it should extend those capabilities using the abilities of the PC. For example, protected WMV support. The PC/TiVo should become a universal digital media player/receiver, preferably with some open standards to write plug-ins to.
