Blu-ray continues to best HD DVD
Reuters is reporting new data from Home Media Research that, for the first half of 2007, Blu-ray outsold HD DVD by better than 2-to-1. From January 1 through July 1, Blu-ray sold 1.6 million discs, while HD DVD sold just 795,000 discs. Since both formats were launched in 2006, through the end of July, Blu-ray has sold 2.2 million discs to HD DVD’s 1.5 million. Blu-ray continues to outsell HD DVD buy roughly a 2:1 margin, furthering its sales lead.
