i’ve used it on Vista, make sure the firewall is allowing it through, and try running TD as administrator at least once. I’ve seen that a lot of programs that have problems with Vista want to put stuff in the registry where you have to have admin privledges to do it. Running as admin once usually takes care of it.

From what I’ve seen, 2.4 doesn’t play well with Vista. *Maybe* installing it under the XP compatibility mode, but I’m not sure. 2.3a apparently runs mostly OK under Vista.

I got a free copy of Vista, and I actually like it a lot, the only thing that won’t work well for me is TivoDesktop I even paid for the TivoToGo Plus encoder, so I can have my shows on my iPod. I was wondering if there was any way to get any of this working on Vista?

Roxio Toast 8 is the official solution, there are no plans for a different solution from TiVo. I’d rather not have this come up every time TiVo does a desktop release.
