Another PC-based CableCARD tuner – this time ATI

Engadget reports, not many details but ATI has had a couple of OCURs on CableLabs list for at least a month or so. They’re supposed to be available around the end of the month in some Dell systems.

And people criticized TiVo for taking so long to get a CC device to market – it looks like 2007 is really the year the CE industry is going to embrace CC.

    Too bad their tuner software sucks so badly. I’ve had horrid experience with ATI in the past, especially with their tuner software, which is why (in large part) I won’t buy anything for graphics cards other than NVidia.

    The fact that GeForce cards work better with City of Heroes than Radeons do (backed up by a fair number of comments I’ve seen people make about their systems) doesn’t hurt, either, of course.
