Get a Series3 for $680.

Yep, save $120 on the purchase of a new TiVo Series3. Dave Zatz posted the info over at ZatzNotFunny. The offer expires Sunday.

    But can you transfer a lifetime to it? Where is there an official word on this?

    I don’t see why not since you can transfer lifetime to S3s purchazed anywhere else. They removed the ‘only from the VIP’ site clause a while back.

    (And, yeah, I think I still haven’t updated the FAQ to reflect that. This reminds me I need to do that…)

    Grumble, grumble. Damn early-adopter tax! But at least I’ve been enjoying my TiVo in HD for a while, I suppose…

    Everyone knew there would be deals and the price will come down eventually. :-)
