    S3 lust… so strong… must have…

I’m actually not going to jump on this. Sadly, according to the Series 3 FAQ, TiVoToGo and Multi-Room viewing are not enabled in this release, because of the HD content. These are features that I really don’t want to have to do without.

So I went to Tivo.com and read all about the Tivo Series 3. I am confused about the pre-paid plans on the right side of the page. Do those plans mean I pay the set amount, then pay the monthly service fee or are those included? How do the pre-paid plans work?

  • krellis

The prepaid plans are pre-paying for the service. So, for example, if you choose the 3 year pre-paid plan (one year free) at $299, you’d be paying $799 + $299 = $1098 up front, but you wouldn’t have any service fees for the S3 for three years.

The pre-paid plans mean your subscription is paid for that time period. You don’t pay a monthly fee if you pre-pay.

Shouldn’t you be getting that review posted? ;)

  • anonymous

Oh, okay. How long do you think until the price comes down just a bit?

  • megazone

Yes – in a few minutes. Work got busy, and they wouldn’t appreciate “I can’t do that right now, I have to post a TiVo review.” ;-)

    Inconsiderate bastards ;)
