TiVo’s KidZone Awarded NAE Seal of Approval

The National Association of Evangelicals awarded TiVo its Seal of Approval for the latest TiVo KidZone, a revolutionary new service that ensures quality television programming for children.

Many people wonder what the audience for KidZone is – this is one market segment it targets. I’m sure some people may be upset, but I see it as a good thing. I’m all in favor of tools to give individuals, and parents, control over content in their homes. What I’m not in favor of is someone else controlling the content in *my* home. If you can filter the content for yourself, or your family, you don’t need to worry about censoring shows in general. I’d rather see more tools like KidZone because when it is easy enough to control the content in the home, arguments in favor of broad content restrictions are undermined.
