It was designed to offload some of the wireless network processing from the CPU and it uses a processor in the adapter instead, increasing network performance for transfers. User tests have show it performing 60% faster than other adapters.Also, it is the only 11g adapter that works with the old 1xx Series2 boxes (the first S2 units).
