Great to hear the Windows people are getting yet another update, but it doesn’t do me any good. So what about us OS X users? Are we *ever* going to see TTG for OS X?

1. It is still ‘coming’. I talked to TiVoPony and a couple of others about it, especially after seeing the wormhole demo and asking about calling ‘new’ HME apps dynamically, etc. There are still plans to continue expanding the HME API and they’ll be exposing more of the DVR functionality bit by bit, but they won’t talk timeline yet.

I didn’t get to see any HME on the HD box, but I will say that all the menus, etc, are rendered in HD so everything looks good. Still some issues with text here and there, which they say they’re working on. So it’ll be interesting to see if it does HME in HD too… I’ll ask.

i keep seeing this in tech reports, and was curious how it’ll be pronounced.

As in “viv” short for Vivian?

or rhyming like “five” or “alive”; long “i” sound

of course, one can look at it as roman numerals.

mulling away too hard on this…
