New age signing bonus — free TiVo

Now, Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center is hoping nurses will choose to spend their working time at the Brockton hospital — and they’ll get TiVo if they do.

This is an interesting incentive, and it makes sense. It isn’t just a gadget incentive, it is specific because TiVo helps them not miss the shows they like in exchange for working a longer shift. Clever.

    The day I became a manager at my old job I went on-line and bought mine so that no matter what I had my shows for me.

    Similarly, I purchased mine during the six months I was working third shift, since I was never awake during prime time TV.
