TiVo upgrade roils some subscribers

The latest version of TiVo’s digital video recorder software is upsetting some subscribers because of a couple of bugs which the company says will be fixed in an upcoming update.

    My upgrade just happened last night. I haven’t really noticed anything bad so far. But I can’t play .tivo files on my computer. Windows Media Player simply crashes. Oh well. I’m sure I’ll figure it out.

    hehe, hopefully they’ll get it right the first time. As a DirecTiVo subscriber, I can relate to problematic upgrades. The last one caused problems, then the fix for the fix caused more problems, so now I’m up to 3.1.0c3. :)

    That article speaks EXACTLY what I have been seeing since the update. I am very happy that TiVo is acknowledging it and saying there is a possible fix in the pipe.
