Several improvements – support for faster burns (16x DVD-R), WMA CD playback, FireWire input, some new software features. All around a slightly more polished product. And they cost less, of course.

There is also a chance for future improvements since the drive used supports DVD+R/RW and dual layer burns. The TiVo software doesn’t – but a software upgrade could add these features.
