| Evidence of More Reality TV? TV producer and former attorney David E. Kelley (The Practice, Ally McBeal) has bowed to the popularity of “reality” television by developing a drama with real lawyers, reports Daily Variety. Kelley, serving as a consulting producer, will create a law firm whose members will try real civil cases through binding arbitration overseen by current or former judges. Lawyers will be fired along the way, leaving an eventual winner. NBC has ordered eight episodes of the as-yet-untitled project. “In success we should be as enlightening as we are entertaining,” Kelley said. “In failure, we’ll stink.” Hmmm… I’d dare argue that raising the bar of reality TV is a moot point, but I’ll let YOU be the judge of that.
