    I question the validity of the study (second link). Sure, I “watch” commercials more often now that I’m fast-forwarding through them, but only because I’m waiting to see my show come back on. My eyes may be watching the TV at the time, but I’m not paying any more attention to the ads themselves. It’s clear to me that the questions they chose to ask are skewed in favor of DVRs — which isn’t necessarily a bad thing for us TiVo owners, but certainly not for any ad agency considering new approaches.
